Help! I’m having a hair dillemma, and since you guys have been looking at my hair growth on an (almost) weekly basis, who better to poll? I’m having a long hair crisis of faith here. You see, once upon a time I had extremely long hair. Waist length long hair. Then when I was twenty I got it all lopped off super short and I’ve kept it in various cuts from bobs to pixies for the last seven years. I got bored. I ran out of cute styles. So I went “you know what I haven’t done in forever? Long hair!”
And now I remember why. It takes forever to grow out of that awkward stage, and it is just so so tempting to cut it all stupidly short again. I haven’t had it cut short in almost a year now, which means I’m in that awkward “too short for cute updos, too long for cute short styles” length. Or it could just possibly be that I have no idea what to do with hair at this length.
So I leave the fate of my hair in your hands, gentle readers.
And now, onto the fatshion!

What I love about this outfit is that almost everything is from a thrift store. And what isn’t is from Forever XXI, making it one of the most inexpensive outfits I have for how many pieces it’s got to it. The skirt is actually Venizia brand, one of Lane Bryant’s lines, and I’m pretty sure that means it was originally in the neighborhood of $40-60.
If you’ll notice, I have a little flower pin accessory on my blazer. It’s actually a cheap hairclip that came in a set of two, but hairclips always seem like a hair mystery to me. Much like economics, it seems to be a magical ability that I simply lack the congnativie ability to master. Thus, they all become shirt pins. Which is awesome, because it means I can buy these cheap basic color under tunics and pair them with blazers, then use the pin to clip the shirt to the blazer. This way I don’t have to worry about it slipping to one side and revealing bra strap or side-boob: a big no-no in the office.
